Practice #3 - Perceiving Receiving

In the following audio, you'll receive instructions on a practice I call Perceiving Receiving.

After the first practice session, there's a few minutes of Q&A ... this information may help with your practice and it'll give you a few minutes to rest and integrate what you've just experienced.

Then there's another practice session, where there are some added, new instructions.

Finally, a few more questions and answers.

After you've experienced Perceiving Receiving, try it during your day -- while you're in the shower or at a stop light or while reading... let your attention rest as the Perceiver/Receiver. If you want to experience something interesting, try it while talking with a friend.

And if you want to set aside a few quiet minutes to practice and see how expansive this can get, enjoy. But remember to be on the lookout for ideas like "I should do this more so I get ..."

The Advanced Meditations don't have the idea that you need to do them "more" because they aren't based on the idea that you need to "fix" or "improve" something.

So, simply enjoy them for as long as you do. You'll know when "it's done."

After you've tried Perceiving Receiving 1 time, please consider this note: In Perceiving Receiving, you're asking yourself a big, "Life Question." I have a comment about the question: You *may* receive an answer to the question you ask. Or, you may not.

Getting an answer isn't the "goal" of Perceiving Receiving. Instead, we simply use the question to bring into our awareness "that which is waiting, available to receive what is perceived."

If you have trouble with the question, try imagining this:

Imagine that I told you I have $1,000,000 hidden in your room and that I was going to go into a trance and, at some point during the 3 minutes I was in the trance, I would say a word. That word would be a hint about the location of the money... and then you would have 10 seconds to find the cash, or it vanished.

Imagine how attentive you would be, waiting for the answer. If you have trouble with the question, use this thought experiment to highlight the "receiver."

What did you discover or experience with Perceiving Receiving?
